DSPOne team members instruct two- to three-day courses to companies in order to
assist their designers in understanding today's wireless communications systems.
Concepts presented include modulation, coding, forward error correction,
demodulation, carrier, recovery, timing recovery, as well as implementation
considerations.
For more information please contact us.
The following are the topics covered in the course:
- Bits, bytes and bauds.
- Transmition over the air data coding.
- Modulation types (BPSK, QPSK, PSK, FSK, MSK, GMSK).
- Coding techinques (Block, Linear, Reed-Solomon, Convoulation and Viterbi)
- Wireless Communications Channels (Multi path).
- Recieve design techinques
- Equalization and match filters
- Carrier recovery
- Timing recovery
- Demodulation
- Decoding
- Clocking issues
- RF and IF interface issues
- Multiple Acesss Techinques:
- CDMA - (IS-95 & W-CDMA)
- TDMA - (IS-136, GSM, PHS)
- FDMA - (AMP)
- OFDM
- MF-TDMA
This course may be given over a weekend.
This two-day course is designed to help
designers
migrate code from one DSP to another in a faster and more
efficient fashion. The course provides hands-on opportunity
to convert codes, this is done through the use of the laboratory
that will allow students to convert, for example, a TMS320C5x to
TMS320C54x. For more please contact us.
The course covers the following:
- Architect differences (ALU, MAC, etc.)
- Instruction set
- Register & Memory usage
- Issues regarding speed
- Interrupts
- I/O (input/output) issues
